Meet Jen Helm:

The owner of Helm Pet Services with a passion for animals that runs deep.

As a lifelong animal lover, Jen currently shares her life with a horse named Phenom and a Doberman named Justice. Her journey into PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy began out of love and necessity—helping her horse, her past Doberman Bullet and her two cats, find comfort and relief.

Phenom, her horse, was diagnosed with a spinal condition that required metal baskets to be placed between vertebrae in two sections of his neck. He often struggled with stiffness and soreness until a friend suggested trying PEMF therapy. The results were remarkable—Phenom became more relaxed and comfortable, with noticeable improvement in his mobility and demeanor.

When Bullet, Jen’s 10-year-old Doberman, had knee surgery, pain medications made him feel unwell and caused him to stop eating. Jen turned to PEMF again, this time to ease his post-surgery discomfort and soreness. The therapy made a clear difference in his recovery and overall happiness.

Inspired by how much PEMF helped her animals, Jen began using it herself to manage chronic shoulder pain from long hours at the computer and lingering back pain from a crushed L5 vertebrae—an injury from a car accident during her teenage years.

Seeing firsthand how effective PEMF therapy was for both people and pets, Jen decided to take her passion further. She became certified in PEMF therapy and founded her business to help others—both two-legged and four-legged—find the same comfort, healing, and renewed energy she witnessed in her own family of animals.

In addition to her work with PEMF, Jen is also an experienced dog trainer specializing in off-leash and e-collar training. Her balanced, compassionate approach focuses on building trust, communication, and confidence between dogs and their owners. Whether helping a family gain reliable recall with their pet or addressing behavioral challenges, Jen’s goal is to create happy, well-behaved dogs who enjoy the freedom of being safely off-leash.

With a deep understanding of animal behavior, a calm and patient demeanor, and a genuine love for what she does, Jen brings heart and expertise to every animal she works with.
